英文摘要Ultra-low Pt catalysts with Pt(shell)-Au(core) nanostructure were prepared by seed mediate method for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The as-prepared catalysts were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV-Vis measurements. The ORR activities of the catalysts were studied by electrochemical measurements and single cell tests, respectively. The results indicate that the PtAu/C (Pt: Au = 3:2, Pt + Au = 4 wt.%) catalyst exhibits the core-shell nanostructure and attractive catalytic activity in both electrochemical test and single cell test. The Pt(shell)-Au(core) nanostructure is promising for application to lower the cost of PEMFCs. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
