英文摘要Application of heterogeneous photocatalytic reactions with TiO2 to enxironmental purification is promising,especiallyfor bio-recalcitrant organic contaminants.Low electron transfer rate to oxygen and high electron-hple pairs recombination rate significantly limit the rate of photooxidation of organic compounds on the catalyst surface.So the increase of the rate electron transfer to the oxidant can increase the recombination rate.A considerable increase of the photocatalytic activity has been reported with platinum deposited on TiO2 particles.The photocatalytic activity with silver deposit was much less enhanced than that with Pt,or even detrimental.Nevertheless,silver is most suitable for industrial applications due to its low cost,easy preparation and its special behavior for oxygen adsorption. In this work,silver loaded TiO2 photocatalysts were Preoared by photochemical impregnation mathod.DRS,EPR and photodegradation of phenol were used o characterize and evaluate the photocatalytic activity of obtained photocatalysts;the role of silver deposited on TiO2 for enhanced photocatalytic activity was discussed.
