英文摘要Plant are probably the best cell factories on this planet form which a diversity of >100,000 low molecular secondary metabolites was discovered with an estimate of total number in plants exceeding 500,000.Plant cell-based bioprocessing is to use the biosynthetic pathways of plant cells/tissues for the production of these metabolites and biotransformation .Despite many years, efforts ,this technology still remains as a potential yet with limited commercial success.To advanceour knowledge and tools in translating “potential”into “commercial success” ,the present report intends to establish strategies and technical framework for a rational molecular plant cell-based bioprocessing approach.. Three main tasks of this rational approach are (ⅰ) characterization of all genes invoived, their protein products and their metabolic products in a given biosynthetic pathway;(ⅱ)characterization of their respective regulatory functions and roles;
