AbstractThe tri-metallic unsupported Ni-Mo-W sulfide catalysts were prepared by a coprecipitation method in the different mixed solutions including nonionic surfactant with the starting materials of nickel carbonate hydroxide, and followed a sulfidation. It was found that the HDS performance of the catalyst was greatly changed with the preparation conditions including the solvents and precursors. The activity of the catalyst synthesized in the solution of ethylene glycol, water and Triton X100 was much more higher than commercial HDS catalyst.
