题名: HY Zeolites Modified by Chemical Liquid Deposition and the Catalytic Performance in Shape-selective tert-Butylation of Naphthalene

摘要: HY zeolite was modified by a method of chemical liquid deposition using i-C4H9Si(OCH2CH3)3, followed by post-treatment in the steaming at 873K. The modified zeolites were designed as SiY0.1, SiY0.3 and SiY0.3-ST. The pore-opening size change of the modified HY zeolites was characterized by adsorption of o-xylene(0.71nm) and 1,3,5-trimethybenzene(TMB, 0.76nm). Studies of the adsorption equilibrium time of o-xylene(t7.1) and 1,3,5-TMB(t7.6) indicated that pore-opening size was narrowed gradually in the order of samples HY, SiY0.1, SiY0.3 and SiY0.3-ST. And the suppressed effect was stronger on larger molecule with narrowing pore-opening size. The catalytic performance was investigated with liquid phase tert-butylation of naphthalene in autoclave reactor. HY catalyst exhibited the lower selectivity for 2,6-di-tert-butylnaphthalen (DTBN). The silica-deposited HY improved the para-selectivity, and 2,6-/2,7-DTBN ratios were increased to 5.91 and 6.21 over SiY0.1 and SiY0.3, respectively. SiY0.3-ST catalyst gave the highest para-selectivity, with 2,6-/2,7-DTBN ratio of 6.62. The result showed that there was a direct correlation between 2,6-/2,7-DTBN ratio and t7.6/t7.1. Therefore, the close relations among the narrowing of catalysts pore-opening size, the differentiation of adsorption rate and para-selectivity were established.
