AbstractSclerotinia stem rot caused by S. sclerotiorum is a kind of stubborn disease of rapeseed, which results in serious yield loss. loss. Many researches focused on the disease, but the development is not satisfying. Based on the resource of our lab, we found oligochitosan have potent effect on this disease control. In order to explore the mechanism of this induced resistance, the activities of catalase(CAT), phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL), peroxidase(POD),polyphenoloxidase (PPO) and superoxide diamutase(SOD) in Brassica napus L. huyou15 after oligochitosan or S. sclerotiorum treatment were detected.The activities of all these five defense-related enzymes were induced by oligochitosan; After inoculation with S. sclerotiorum the activities of CAT,PPO,SOD increased but there was no change on the activities of PAL and POD.
