AbstractIron vanadate (FeVO4) with high photocurrent attracts much attention in the photocatalysis fields [1]. Iron vanadate has been fabricated by different synthesis methods, but FeVO4 with controlled shape has not reported so far. Triclinic FeVO4 was prepared by combining the precipitation method and hydrothermal method. The color of FeVO4 was brownish yellow, and the threshold of the absorption spectrum was approximately 600 nm (Fig. 1a). When the ratio of raw materials was adding by stoichiometric amount (Fe:V=1:1 by mole), the FeVO4 particles are about 10nm in diameter (Fig. 1b). Adding raw materials Fe: V = 1:1.2 by mole, the FeVO4 nanorod are approximately 40nm in diameter and several microns in length (Fig. 1c). This material with controlled shape is expected to be a new promising n-type semiconductor with high efficiency under visible light.
