Transfer Hydrogenation of Aldehydes and Asymmetric Direct Aldol Reaction on Amphiphilic Catalysts Assembled in Emulsion

英文摘要In our previous work, we developed the selective oxidation of alcohols on emulsion catalysis, where amphiphilic catalyst was assembled at the interface of emulsion[1]. Recently, emulsion catalysis further extends to transfer hydrogenation and asymmetric direct Aldol reactions (Scheme 1)[2,3]. In transfer hydrogenation reaction, TOF is up to 3.0 × 105 h-1 in the emulsion system and 30-fold rate acceleration is achieved compared with biphasic system. In asymmetric direct Aldol reaction, Not only is the rate of reaction enhanced, but also the regio- and enantioselectivies of product are improved significantly. The ee value beyond 99% is obtained. These excellent performances in emulsion can be ascribed to a large reaction area, the enrichment of local concentrations of reactants and uniform orientation of chiral catalyst at the interphase of emulsion.
