Influence of La2O3 morphology on Cu/La2O3 catalysts for transfer dehydrogenation of primary aliphatic alcohols

英文摘要La2O3 nanorods were successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process and used to support Cu nanoparticles. CO2-TPD and H2-TPR measurements revealed that the morphology of La2O3 altered considerably the amount, strength and distribution of the basic sites, and thus adjusted the interaction manner between Cu and La2O3. As a result, Cu nanoparticles dispersed on La2O3 nanorods are much more reactive for transfer dehydrogenation of 1-octanol to the corresponding aldehydes with styrene as hydrogen acceptor, which is the most commonly used represtative of primary aliphatic alcohols, with the 94 % conversion and >99 % selectivity than that on the conventional La2O3 nanoparticles
