AbstractEfficient solar to chemical energy conversion by photocatalytic water splitting to produce hydrogen still faces huge scientific challenges ahead. In this talk, our recent progress in the development of integrated/composited photocatalytic cyclic redox systems for water splitting will be presented and discussed. It is concluded that proper choice of the co-catalysts and tailor designing of the interfacial junctions between the base-catalysts and co-catalysts will play an important role in this approach.
