AbstractWith the fast development of renewable energy(solar, wind etc.), large-scale energy storage technology has received widely attention in the world. The vanadium redox flow battery(VRB) is a most promising technology for energy storage because of its long cycle life, high efficiency, flexible design, and deep-discharge capability. In this paper, the current status and perspective of redox flow battery will be introduced. The VRB R&D activities in DICP will be presented in detail.
