AbstractN2O is considered as a promising green propellant utilized for small satellite propulsion. BaIrxFe1-xAl11O19-a hexaaluminate catalysts were found effeicent for this process due to their high initial activity and thermal stability. Co-precipitation method resulted in the Ir particles homogeneously dipersed throughout the support, and therefore those located deeply inside the particles could not work as the active species. We present a novel approach by peptizing pseudo boehmite, La(NO3)3, and Ba(NO3)2 with H2IrCl6 in order to load Ir in the surface-layer.; N2O is considered as a promising green propellant utilized for small satellite propulsion.
