摘要: Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) is considered as one of the most prosperous power sources to drive vehicles, due to the high efficiency and clean exhaust. However, there are still some obstacles (e.g., lifetime, reliability and cost) before their commercialization. Lifetime of PEM fuel cell is the most important one and may change other factors, the requirement of which ranges form 5000 operating hours for car applications, up to 20,000 operating hours for bus applications and up to 40,000 operating hours for stationary applications. Therefore, the research interest of PEMFC durability is widely increased. In this paper, the recent advances about the durability of PEMFC in Dalian institute of chemical physics (DICP) are reviewed, including transient characteristic of the fuel cell and catalyst durability under dynamic load, start-up and shutdown processes, the cell reversal process under fuel starvation, and the influence of impurity issues of PEMFC.
