AbstractRhodium(III)-catalyzed C-H-activation amidation of arenes bearing chelating groups has been achieved using N-arenesulfonated imides as efficient amidating reagents without using any base additive. Pyridine, oxime, and pyrimidine proved to be viable directing groups.
