英文摘要: The formation of a long-range superstructure on the Au(lll) surface following reaction with oxygen at atmospheric pressure and a temperature of about 1070 K was detected by reflection electron microscopy (REM). This long-range superstructure exhibits unit cell dimensions of about 8.5 nm in the [112] direction and 4.9 nm in the [110] direction. The symmetry of this long-range superstructure is considered to be six-fold. Reflection high energy electron diffraction (RHEED) patterns show a root 3 x root 3 R30 degrees structure on the Au(111)surface. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
