AbstractCapillary Electrophoresis was used to evaluate the annealing of two complemental single stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) qualitatively and quantitatively. The annealing efficiency can be observed from the electropherogram. The migration characteristic of the double stranded DNA was explained. The NaCl concentration in the annealing DNA product matrix was determined. In general the existence of NaCl can lead the sample to dilute, but this factor could be neglected when the concentration of NaCl, was < 20 mmol/L in our experimental conditions.
