英文摘要: A miniaturized fluorescence detector for capillary electrophoresis, based on a high brightness light emitting diode as excitation source, is described. Optical fiber was used to collect the fluorescence, leading to a compact and easily implemented optical system. The flat,end of optical fiber was modified to spherical end, resulting 50.8% increase of efficiency than that of the flat end. A simple device for optical alignment of fibers and capillary column was designed which simplified the alignment into a slid-in operation. The performance of the detector was evaluated with fluorescein as standard sample, attaining mass detection limit of fmol.
