英文摘要: The partial oxidation of dimethylether (DME) to formaldehyde over supported MoOx and VOx catalysts was investigated at a feed ratio of n(DME)/n (O-2) = 2.3. It was found that both the catalysts were active for the reaction in the temperature range of 240 to 320 degreesC. DME conversion and CH2O selectivity increased with the surface density of MoOx and VOx up to their monolayer dispersion capacity. At 300 degreesC, DME conversion reached 20% with CH2O selectivity of ca 70 % on VOx /gamma-Al2O3 catalyst. The acid-base features of the supports played a determining role in increasing the catalyst activity. The acidic support and the oxidized state of metal oxide showed higher DME conversion rate and higher CH2O selectivity. The DME conversion and CH2O selectivity were kept stable during the reaction at 300 degreesC for 17 h over VOx /gamma-Al2O3 catalyst, and no carbonaceous deposits could be detected on the used catalyst.
