英文摘要: The water-gas shift reaction was carried out in a Pd/ceramic hollow fiber membrane reactor using a commercial iron-based catalyst with additive chromium. The composite membrane was prepared by the improved electroless plating method. The hydrogen permeability of the composite membrane was 0.165 m(3)/(m(2)-h-kPa) at 673 K, and the separation factor of pure hydrogen to argon was about 100. The influences of the H2O/CO molar ratio, reaction temperature and feed pressure on CO conversion were studied in detail. Under the same conditions, the CO conversion in the membrane reactor cannot only exceed that in the fixed-bed reactor but also exceed the thermodynamic equilibrium conversion owing to the selective removal of hydrogen from the reaction system by the composite membrane. These results demonstrate that it is possible to apply the Pd/gamma-Al2O3 capillary membranes to the water-gas shift reaction.
