AbstractFast aqueous/organic hydrogenations of arenes, olefins and carbonyl compounds were successfully realized in a PVP-Ru amphiphilic microreactor system. The turnover frequency (TOF) of aqueous/organic hydrogenation of benzene reached 45,000 h(-1). All the hydrogenation TOFs of investigated benzene derivatives, olefins and carbonyl compounds exceeded 1000 h(-1).
