AbstractSilver-catalyzed nucleophilic addition and intramolecular Friedel-Crafts alkylation between alpha-oxoketene dithioacetals and tertiary propargylic carbonates have been realized. The reactions proceeded in moderate to good yields with broad substrate scope, providing a straightforward method for the synthesis of substituted indenes.
